So it's been over three years since I've written a blog post. Yikes. I'm making a commitment to make a daily post from now on. My son, Andy, gave me his old Macbook so I can post more easily.

I'm still knitting and hope to connect with a group of like-minded women again. My knitting friends seem to have drifted away even though I felt we tried to stay in touch. I may reach out again this weekend.

I have two goals for the next few weeks. First, help my son find a condo. Second, get my bathroom renovated.

Surgery on hold for two weeks

I went in on Feb 1 and expected no problems. But the anesthesiologist couldn't get me intubated and my IV infiltrated and so my surgeon stopped it. Trying again Feb 15.

I was so bummed. But (as everyone says), there was a reason and I have to accept that.

Meanwhile, I'm knitting Andy's varsity scarf (Univ of Md Balto Co) in Cascade black and gold. It looks great except the Pastaza (gold) yarn is shedding big time. Oh well, Andy will still like it. Hope to get it finished this weekend. I'm not sure if I'm making fringe. I'm not sure he's a fringe guy. LOL!

My current project

I am working on a felted purse from the Pursonalities book. I'll post the name when I get home (sshhh... I'm at work). I'm using Silk Garden and Cascade Heather and it's gorgeous. I just need to finish the i-cords and I'll felt it Thursday night or this weekend.
